scibri writes: For a biologist, what would be the equivalent of discovering the Higgs boson? What fundamental discoveries in biology would generate the same excitment that packed a lecture theatre in Geneva last year? Nature has some ideas, including life on other planets, and the origin of life here, but what to slashdotters think?
